Kevin, didn't Jim Langer respond to you in an e-mail that there will be the VFAD system on the intake? He told me out there that this wasn't verified yet and that they needed to do some testing to determine what works best. He did say that there probably wouldn't be though but wasn't entirely sure yet.

Just like everything else to this point, little to no improvement in gas mileage.

if fact you may lose mpg because you would have your foot in it more often to hear the new sound

Any pics, or more details? I'm looking into this myself. I fitted a K&N and it seems like intake temp has gone up to me, because there's no roof on the "box". I might try and fab something up but I think the main problem is the lack of air into the engine bay in the first place.

If you guys need pics of the intake that I made for my rx-8 when I had it (now a '04 M3 6-speed manual). I will look for my pictures in my computer. This was by far my biggest increase of HP from any mod on my car and I had full exhaust and rotary extreme intake. The only problem is that I was getting so much air that if I wasn't full throttle; the car would surge. I positioned the tubes behind the black front grille below the bumper pad and it was fine. I still had the ability to change back to the lower air intake position when I was at the track and @ full throttle.

BTW: I used to be Jeuprx-8

The M3 is great. I have 1,100 miles and am now past the break-in. I think I am going to go through tires pretty frequently with this car. I didn't get the 19" wheeks, so mine are only 18 x 9 rear; 255's. I will probably stay stock for about 2 years becuase I am dead *** broke. The only thing my dad is letting me put on my car is winter tires, other than that I am stayin' stock. I just got the pictures downloaded onto my computer and I will make a new post in the aftermarket performance section so more people see it. I truly think that every RX-8 owner should do this mod to their car because it is inexpensive and it has such solid gains.

Man you dontneed to even touch your M3 anyway. I knowyou like to tune but the stock M3 isalready an amazing vehicle. Even w/SMG it isbad *** (I have driven both versions of it) and trust me youre one lucky punk! Iam glad you decided to come back here though b/c so far noone has tuned their automatic to the extent that you had. Ohand just so you knowI still never got to see the rest of those gtech results that you were going to post a while back
