Is it only tested at idle?

I don't remember because I have only had emissions tests once and that was ten years ago...

Each state is different. Some don't have any testing. Lucky bastards!

CA testing they test it at different speeds; idle and even up to 30-40 mph.

no i think the highest hp reported with the RB flash was by Team RX8 with 209whp and then with some tweaks to his car- 213whp https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...&postcount=137

less weight and 1 less belt so, a tad bit less hp strain on the motor.

I had all the same parts when I pulled right at 200 HP on a Dynojet dyno with the OE software

It's generally considered that the Dynojet will pull higher numbers than a Mustang, but the Mustang is considered to to provide a more accurate measurement of true HP

the difference is usually suggested to be 5%, if you buy into that then in theory the Dynojet numbers would be 219 hp & 223 hp after the tweaks

in reality though, there's no way to know for sure, you have to take the numbers as only a general guide, not as an absolute measurement

Remember the power is all top end. Read the RB site. A little gain in mid range.

Still a great mod for Auto-x / HDPE.

you know... now that i think about it... the RB flash + feed final drive will probrably whoop a greddy turboed 8 (a 240whp dynojet 8. not some of the 290+whp monsters that we have lurking around here ).

Just curious...can the dealer see the flash is in the PCM or is this like the VW Chip that can't be seen by the dealers?

The increase starts at around 5000 rpm, but from 6000 to RL the difference is substantial on mine

The Greddy turbo comment is only quoting peak power, which it's well known the turbo wasn't keeping up the boost at the peak power point. Down low the Greddy would pound an NA, no contest IMO.
