Freakin snow- we want dyno results! Just joshin...
That security light worries me- I got my 8 used and I only have one key. Would the cars keyless entry work with the light flashing?

Does this indicate that if I get an (Agency Power) Pulley and need to reset the KAM, with the RB flash this is no longer possible? Is there another way to reset the KAM besides 20 brake pedal pump, for those that have the RB flash?

Thanks!

Well, tried to get the dyno yesterday before the snow came, and the dyno shop that I had my last dyno done at was too busy.

So I made an appointment this coming thursday to get the dyno done. Lets just hope the snow melts somewhat before then.

To my dismay there are still problems. The security light is still on when I start the car. I'm not too woried about this because after about 5-10 minutes of the engine running it goes off and stays off. That and performance is not affected.

As for the question on reseting the KAM. The 20 brake pedal pump thing appears to not be working but one can still reset that data by unplugging the battery and letting the car sit by itself overnight.

Its quite the winter wonderland here.

So what mods does racing beat recommend for the race flash; and do the numbers on their website only reflect the street flash???

Racing beat recommends an exhaust system without a catalytic converter for the Race flash.

The numbers on the website only relfect the street flash.

This is kind of obvious, but did you try unplugging and then reconnecting the PCM connectors?

Thanks for your feedback! I was under the impression however, from the ECU Clear/Reset sticky: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-tech-garage-22/ecu-clear-reset-27548/ that simply unplugging the battery and waiting for any remaining power to drain was not sufficient for clearing the KAM aka "Keep alive memory". If i am understanding the post from MazdaManiac correctly. ?

Laters!

A straight pipe is just a hollow tube. It doesn't really matter. The only question is do you want a resonator on it or not. You probably will to keep the sound level down. Some come w/o a resonator.

i have a b&B 2.5" resonated straight pipe. i don't plan on getting an exhaust cuz i really don't care about how it sounds. the stock muffler should hold up fine w/ the race flash, right??? just wanna make sure...

Cool. Here is another newbie question...Is there a difference in flow with, or w/o a resonator??

here's a pic inside a "resonator" on a mid-pipe. Not much there to restrict anything, more like a swirlor than a resonator

RB has one, as does Turbo XS, as does B&B, and Agency Power. Or you can goto a muffler shop and have them make you one and it will probably be a few bucks cheaper than any "brand name" straight pipe.
The only reason I don't want a test-pipe is because you get a CEL because of the O2 sensor. I thought someone had an O2 fooler so you don't get the CEL but I forget who and where to buy it.
