Random Tech High-Flow Cat Install

Random Tech High-Flow Cat Install
I decided on the Random Tech Cat & Resonator as I wanted something that would improve flow over stock, but not be too loud (wife factor).
The Random Tech comes in two basic parts the Cat and the Resonator as well as bolts and seal.
I took some pics before I installed.

The install was more of pain than I thought it would be, in that it was difficult to get all the seals lined up just right and tight. Things would tend to shift (gasket, alignment) while tightening bolts and I would have to start over.
Here are some pics after installing. The bronze color comes after running it for a few days.
The probem area was the connection in the second picture between the Cat and the Resonator. However, I was enventually able to get a good seal.

The Results:
The Random Tech unit is not much louder than stock with the stock muffler on. My wife didn't notice the lower pitch or slighlty louder growl until I pointed it out.
The performance response, especially as the RPM climbs is improved. I had her in the car while testing it out and she said she noticed that it felt like she was being pushed back in her seat more.
Fit and fittment is good overall. However the resonator comes fairly close to a bolt/nut on the underside of the car and will occasionally (1 out of 10 starts) rattle against it when I start out from a dead stop.
Everything else on the car is stock, except a green filter and a Canzoomer stage 1 ECU, which is not tuned - yet.

I looked around but the only place I could find the Random Tech cat & resonator was from Canzoomer's website. The cost I paid was $626 including shipping.
I like the more gradual taper of the Rotary Performance cat, but I ended up going with the Random Tech as I didn't want to hassle with buying a separate resonator and having a shop weld it on, plus weld in the hangers for the RP.
