RB BodyKit or Suspesion/Exhaust
Its been almost 2 years that i have had the 8 and I decided it is time to do something.
I was thinking to get the Racing Beat BodyKit Nose,Sides,Flairs,Spoiler or jsut get the Suspension Package and the RB Exhaust.
What do you guys think? The Kit will be a little more but i must say i really like the subtle look it has.
I autocross which is kind of the reason i dont want to do the suspension package since i will no longer be in BS.
HELP

I say go with suspension/exhaust because I'm not sure how good the kit will look on the stock suspension. The suspension will keep everything "tucked in" a lot better if you ever do decide to go with the body kit. Plus, exhaust will give you better performance and sound sweet too. Though, I can see your problem with moving up in the AutoX leagues.

While Racing Beat's body kits look good, they are made of fiberglass and are forever cracking and getting rock chips. I have the full kit on my Miata and after a about year the front end looked like it was hit with a shotgun. Shame on you if you ever bump something or in my case get bumped. C R A C K ! Wouldn't have done anything to a stock bumper cover.

Bummed, but bring on OU!
Since you auto-x, i voted body kit. I hate the look at my ridiculous racecar body kits, and the RB one looks very nice. It's subtle and fits the lines of the car very well. There's very few body kits that I like. RB and MS are 2 that I do like. Minus the wing in both cases.

Since you autocross...why would you want to put on a body kit that adds more weight to the car?
I'd look into BS class modifications which can include.
Any shock absorber of the same type and mounting as original
Any wheel of diameter and width identical to a stock or factory optional wheel, offset within +- 0.25 inch
Most street legal tires that will fit the mounted wheels and stock bodywork

If your going to throw on a fiberglass body kit (which could add as much as 50 lbs to the car), you might as well just say screw it, and go with the full suspension kit and move into another class and just autox for fun.
If you weren't autocrossing, or hadn't mentioned (I autox), it wouldn't make a bit of difference throwing on a body kit...but since you did mention it, why put yourself at a further disadvantage? Weight is EVERYTHING in an autox. Its one of the most important considerations in a vehicle, next to suspension and tires. Power is usually down a few pegs on the list.
