RB flywheel and SR pulleys!
Just had these aluminum parts installed on my 8 this past Friday. Since I got her back, I just can't stop grinning. :D ...Feels like my 8 had an engine transplant! Or like it lost 300 lbs. The car just wants to break traction, rev and accelerate like never before - all the way to redline!
Though I know my mods so far are not ADDING power, and I could probably live with the acceleration as it is now, I think my next mod might be a highflow cat/midpipe with resonator to unleash more power. I don't want my 8 to be much louder though so I will have to research and think about it some more.
I highly recommend the light flywheel and engine pulleys though.

does anyone have any performance stats like 0-60, 1/4 ,auto x times---anything--- to justify the expense of these two mods? My ball park non expert est says these 2 mods installed would be approx $2,000. Thats a lot of money to me. I'm not diss-ing anyone's mods or their opion I just would like some more concrete stats before I invest that much. Maybe it's like my RB catback. I really can't tell that much actual performance gain but the driving experience with the sound and all is great!
thanks

Okay, I just logged back on... I'll try to answer some questions...
I payed about $1000 for ALL the parts just installed - bought all online: Racing Beat aluminum flywheel, SR motorsports aluminum pulleys, AND a Hopup Racing stainless steel clutch line (didn't mention that before). John Hine Mazda in San Diego installed all parts for a total of $696 and a full day. ...So about $1700 total with dealer labor .
I don't have any test stats though - just the butt dyno and the free reving feel of the engine to tell you that my 8 is quicker. ...It should have come like this from Mazda! If I discover any negative side-effects I will post them.

ok, i am new to the forum I have only had my 8 for 6 months. ( but what a glooorius 6 months it has been ) anyway, I know that you are all interested in upgrading and papmpering your 8's with whatever you can get your hands on or afford, but have any of you considered looking into getting your car sponsored and going to car shows a few times a year? I just got a $12,000 sponsorship from pro sport compact for my car. I will be doing quite a lot of things to my blue baby to make her happy. Like a carbon fiber hood, pulley kit, turbo system, and so on. But if yous are as into your 8's as me, you should search the web for a sponsorship to help pay for the things you want to do. I am in the begining stage of my sponsorship and have not done anything to my 8 yet but when i do i will post as much as i can of it.

I also have a sponsorship from Sports Compact Pro I think it is the same as Mighty Mouse they just use two different names, because they have the same number listed in the magazines. I have a 12,000 sponsorship for about one month now. No you can not buy from anywhere but them, unless they can't beat the price or can't get the product from that outside source. They do not send you money, they keep a 12,000 dollar bank for you and discount your parts. Example:
If I price out a set of rims and tires for 4000.00 and they can get them for 3300.00, then the difference is taken out of my 12,000.00 sponsorship bank (700.00). Most sponsors work like this, and you can get free parts, but usually not alot of high-end stuff.
Oh sorry for jacking the thread.
