Rb Revi Intake Installed & Yellow Engine Light On
HI All,
I purchased and have fitted a Revi Intake to my RX8(and love it), except 4 days later I have had the yellow engine light come up. It does not overheat or lose power or anything noticeable, other than this light stays on. And it does not go into limp mode either.
Any1 have any ideas?? as to what the problem is or is this normal effect of addind a new intake??. I have had the dealer reset the ECU once and it came on 2 days later.
Appreciate your assistance on this issue, as I don't want do any damage of course.
Cheers,

if you didnt install it, then most likely the installer missed something.
I dont have Revi but its just very common.
Why didnt you install it yourself? it takes maybe 2 hours for newbies. I install my K&N intake myself, first time took me longer because I was totally new back then. an hour or 2 maybe? second time just took me 30 minutes (took version 1 out and put version 2 in)

Hi All,
Got it checked out late today, and found that like the first time the ecu said the engine was running lean. Except this time hopefully found the problem, there was a vacuum leak. So after looking after that problem, the ecu was then reset and the yellow engine light has disappeared. Im pretty sure that was the problem as we checked everything else out and its going better now that its installed properly.
Thankz All.

I have a feeling he has the problem where the little cap is coming loose where the vacume hose was b4 removal for the intake. Maybe it wasnt put on, or is coming lose now, and thats the cause of running lean
