Revi intake + _____exhaust?

I just recently intalled the RB Revi intake and I'm liking that quite a bit but I'm wanting to add an exhaust sometime soon. I've seen videos of most the exhuasts and the borla seems to stand out the most to me but wondering if anyone has experiences with different exhuasts mixed with the Revi intake. I didnt really find any videos quite so specific so that's why I'm asking.

I have the Hymee with Revi, it sounds awesome. Even other 8 owners agree! Very exotic sound combination IMO.

Heard many aftermarket RX-8 sounds, and if exotic is what your looking for, its gotta be racing beat. Polak has the REVi + RB Exhaust on his car and it sounds like a damn Ferrari. Hes a good frind of mine and I drive in the car quite a bit, it really is the best sounding exaust for the RX-8 hands down, and you cant go wrong with Racing Beats quality and dedication to the rotary. I will say if your looking for a more raspy "rx-7"ish sound, the MazdaSpeed does a great job of that, and its covered by your warranty if you have Mazda install it.

Hi guys, got a quick question about the intake and exhaust systems. First off i have an automatic RX8, i was looking at getting an intake and exhaust system. I'm looking at the Revi intake here http://www.rx7store.net/product_p/ra...eat%20revi.htm , it says that its for manual transmission, does it matter, can i use it on my automatic?? Also for the exhaust i found this one, http://www.rx7store.net/product_p/rbexhaustrx8.htm , is this the one you guys are talking about, does it come with a full catback exhaust, with midpipe and all. Thanks

Danny

Thats exactly what I DON'T want....I do not like raspy at all. I prefer a deep subtle tone without a lot fo the raspy, popping exhaust. Smooth sound both on acceleration and deceleration.........

I haven't heard any of the exhausts in person, and its so hard to tell from a sound clip. Does the RB fit the bill for what I want....any other suggestions. WIthout wanting to offend anyone, I just don't want it to sound ricey

I've got both the REVi intake and RB exhaust and love them. As you know (if you've done your homework), the RB exhaust weighs more than stock. If that was a problem for me, I would've lost the extra 50 lbs I carry around all day! I'm impressed with RB's quality on both the exhaust and intake, not to mention the oil cooler screens and a/c condensor screen. Back to the sound, it is quiet when just cruising, and at wot, my wife knows I'm almost home because she can hear me coming. (I can't believe I just said that) I have not had problems with the tips turning color, either (I use NeverDull). In the end, it is what sound do you want and like, does weight make a difference and what are you willing to pay for it. Good luck on your decision.

I have the RB exhaust with a K&N intake. Awesome sound that makes people turn their heads at WOT!

with all of the above being good choices, i have a tanabe exhaust with my revi+ram air and it sounds nice... at idle car sounds like a jet because of the whistle from the grill with the low but subtle grumble from the exhaust, at wot its still not too loud but sounds like a rotary should. it's fairly quiet and i believe weighs less than stock. i like it

If you check the RacingBeat web site, they will state that you can use the intake and exhaust on the auto.

ditto, same setup here. I've been told that my intake, with air duct, sounds very aggressive. The exhaust compliments this well.

Either way you go, get the exhaust you like for the sound, or for the appearance. They all basically do the same thing performance wise, unless you want to consider the Turbo XS exhaust, which is not pretty, but has been suggested to produce a little more HP gains.
