It will be good. Many people complain that it's too loud w/aftermarket CAt back.

I have this set up currently. It sounds pretty good when I get on it. I don't think it is all that much louder than stock at idle. My friend has the same setup as my car except for the Borla exhaust and it sounds freaking awesome. It all boils down to personal taste though.

I'd post a sound clip if I had one.

I had a high flow cat and revi on for a while. The sound was perfect - a little deeper and louder at idle and aggressive without being too loud at WOT. It sounded a little raspy during a cold startup but smoothed out when warm. On the freeway, the setup didn't drone and was barely noticable until I pressed down on the GO pedal. Highly recommended.

I'm not a big fan of the way aftermarket exhausts sound, and pairing one with a high flow cat results in obnoxious db levels.

In case you're wondering, I took off my aftermarket parts because I'm selling my 8.

the loudness really depends on what exhaust your using it with. i have a racing beat exhaust and it is straight pipe non resonated, and even now its not too loud.

id say go with the high flow supercat then later if you want bigger tips or a louder sound go with an aftermarket exhaust. i had the supercat and racing beat exhaust setup, sounded very nice but it wasnt loud enough for my taste so now i have a straight pipe.

I would advise you to go with the RP Super cat before you do a cat-back system. The High-flow cat will give you more HP gain that the cat-back system will. later if you want a louder sound add a cat-back but the high-flow cat will sound great, and as previousley mentioned, a little deeper and louder when on the throtle, but quiet around town.

Good luck with the decision

BE ADVISED: there are two versions of the RP Supercat. the first version had toruble with turbo applications and sounded very raspy when cold. the new, 2nd version, has a new design and reduces the cold raspy sound. I had both versions (2nd version now) and could not tell any difference in the HP gains, and the sound once warmed up was comparable but personally, i would advise the snd version

If you want to keep the stock exhaust you can always weld on some kick *** tips.

I really want to hear a sound clip cuz this is a route I'm considering.
