Just ordered my Raceroots exhaust for 350! Man thats a steal compared to the rest of the catbacks on the market. I got to run it with stock cat pipe though because I cant imagine this thing with my test pipe.
For the empty hole me and my friend are going to try to fill it up to make it look better.

I love the idea of a mazaspeed style rear lip with a single exit design. IMO the rx8 should have been originally designed with a single exit exhaust, the dual is just extra, uneccesary weight. Any further details on this? release time? material? price range?

I will most likely do a group buy on this when the time comes. Every now and again everyone that is interested should post in this thread that they are interested in one that way I can gauge how many units to make.

Tone naturally would be different, Single would be louder.
Quality would be the same level.
If it is any indication of preference ZoomZoom had a dual exhaust on his (Greddy SP2) and he is still rocking the single because he likes the sound note better on the single.

Currently the company that I asked to do this is busy and won't begin until winter time. So planned next spring debut. Pricing is just undetermined because material cost is unknown.

Just got my catback, well I got it a week ago but I was on vacation in NYC lol. Once I get it installed I get pics up and maybe a video.
I have a RB test pipe and I cant decide whether to run with the test pipe and the catback or my stock cat with the catback. I eventually want to get a DR midpipe to quiet it down as much as I can while being catless still.
On a sidenote there was a couple of dents on the connecting pipe from shipping I guess, nothing that can hurt flow I dont think.
Also quick question Brice, I know this is 3" and it mates to stock cat? I dont see it tapering at the connecting pipe. Im trying to eventually have no tapering at the flanges and have a full 3" exhaust for future plans.

Just got catback installed. A few comments on it. Quality is good, love the heavy duty flanges. There is a few flaws and great things in this product.
First of all, as you can see in this photo, the drilled points for the adjustable tip is at 9 o'clock and 5 o'clock looking at a clock. The tip has it even which makes the tip sideways. The bolts that was given for the midpipe to connecting pipe wouldnt fit through my midpipe, wrong bolts which were too thick. Easy fix, I just reused the spring bolts.
Looks great
Here is side to side pics comparing the Greddy SP2 to the RR single exit, notice the more straight through design on the single.
Last thing to note, Friends wanted to hear my car single exit with test pipe so I decided to install it with the test pipe and add my cat later on. It is pretty darn loud, not too obnoxious to me since my friends car is the one thats obnoxious lol. One thing I noticed, this single exit does help with response and it gave a way deeper tone than my Greddy SP2, I love the tone! That sold me alone. Overall great product for the price.
Thanks Brice!
