Prodive!!! when you by a RX8 in the UK Mazda send you on a track day with theses folk nso there quiet good!
the Performance pack will be designed and made by then but offered as a optional extra in the UK if what they do with the scoobies is anything to go by! all i have read is that it could be on the cards and it will not be forced induction!
on another note does the US get Mitshi Evo FQ's?

We dont get the Evo Fq's or the performance packs.
Its a very smart thing they do. They sell the car at the dealer stock...so it will meet the emmissions requierments and such. But you can add these 'upgrades' and add them to the price of the car... they are done after you buy the car so it doesnt affect your taxes and stuff the same way it would if you bought the car new like that.
Id be interested to see what these performance packs for the 8 have (ie what parts are added/changed) 45HP is pretty good. More than likely its a new/redesigned intake/exhaust and some tuning on the computer (maby the JDM flash)

nopt on there website yet, but as the UK owners get a Prodrive day when buying the car theres alot of contact between the owners and Prodrive so thats how we find out!!!
the Evo FQ's in the UK salutation according to Mitshi UK stands for 'F**king Quick' the 320bhp, the 340bhp and the carbon fibre 400bhp all get the FQ mark!

I feel that 45 HP is totaly realistic if you do the following :
New Intake System (totaly new or revised stock system)
New Exhaust System (stock header is pretty good, but a nice Cat-Back/Muffler, also chainging the cat to a higher-flow moddel would be good and also a more durable cat to go with the next set)
Full re-map of the ECU on fuel/timing (this is where you will find most of your gain, there is LOTS of room to lean out the air/fuel mix as well as give it some more timing. Running around 13.5:1 would net major gains)
Little things to go along with it like Spark Plugs, Plug Wires, Ligher Flywheel.
The above put together into a package and tuned to get the best performance form all of the mods working together would net you quite a bit of power.
Some of the GT serries race cars that are running 112* Octane and Stand Alone ECU (MoTEC) are getting 280ish HP at the crank (from out reported 238, that is more likely 220ish) So that right there is about 40ish HP gain, thanks to intake, and header back (straight pipe) along with full ECU tune for the high octane gas.
Very little bolt ons, mostly tuning....that is the secret with this car.
The companys that can come up with good ways to effectivly tune the ECU will be the ones that can make REAL power with this car!
