We all know how honest sales people are and how they have only the customer in mind.

In regards to this car, I was told it is the prototype Mazdaspeed RX-8. A couple of the salesman drove the car at the Gingerman Raceway. This is the same track that Audi tests their cars, including their new supercar with the V10. It is bascially a Mazdaspeed kit, F & R strut bars, sway bars, and a 294 bhp engine. I was told it is supercharged, but I don't really know what the differance between Turbo & SC is. All I know from looking at the engine, was that the intake box was gone. The weight was over 3,100; but he didn't know the final weight.
As far as the reason it was at my dealer, that is because it was being tested at Gingerman, it was just a lucky experience for me. They did tell me that it was runnging 1:30's times on the track, my buddie's Z with 330 bhp, full suspension, etc. runs high 1:30's to low 1:40's. My RX-8 ran high 1:50's.
I don't know what a Sunflower mazda is? Someone explain.

I'm still doubtful, Mazda has its own proving grounds in Japan and has Leguna Seca in the US, but I will keep an open mind. If it really was a prototype doing some test runs then that's good news. It means, hopefully, that the US spec MS might be released sometime late in '05, maybe as an '06 model. 294 hp would be sweet, but I think they could do even better than that. Also 209 lb of torque still seems weak, because the FD RX-7 used to put out 217 lbs in stock twin turbo form and it only had 255 hp.

still seams weak? 209 T out of a single supercharger vs. 217 out of TWIN SEQUENTIAL TURBOS. to me that makes the twins look underdeveloped and weak. that is if, for the moment, we pretend this MSRX-8 is real.

I don't see how I am a liar about this... I posted in the general automotive about driving the German Spec '05 Audi A6, since my dad's friend is a top dog for Audi NA. I posted pics of that, etc. and everyone believed that. What the hell? I was told not to post pics, but maybee I will tonight.

I did show the G-tech dyno's of that performance gain. I e-mailed it to a couple people on this board after they pm'd me to. Ask yourself this question, why would I lie to a complete stranger, and then defend it. Why do I care what a stranger who I have never seen before says?

If you go to autotrader , put in mazda rx8 and do a serach for the entire country , there is a 40,000 Mazdaspeed rx8 for sale from a dealer. Was looking around last night and noticed it. Not sure where it was located (did not pay attention) Might be what his guy saw?

It says it is available at "Park Mazda at Wooster". Not sure where that is exactly, but it is about 2000 miles from here (SoCal).
