Should I Get An ECU Tuner
I'm thinking about getting a canzoomer cz1, because from the people on this website that have them i hear nothing but good things. the only concern i have is that i hear that you have to tune the thing yourself if you want any kind of gains. now im not the sharpest tool in the shed and dont really want to try and tune a computer thats smarter than me cuz im afraid of screwing it up. so plz tell me what yall think
P.S. im also looking at the Greddy e-manage.

Here is something very informative you might want to check out. It was written by a board member (JasonHamilton) who has had great success with his canzoomer unit. It's going to take some time to get the right settings, but it can do wonders. Hope this helps.

you can always have a rotary shop tune it. it's a greddy emanage at heart, so they should have some expierence with it. or do it yourself, be conservative with your changes and you should be fine. worst case you break something, take it out and then take it into the dealership and play dumb.

i love my unit... its tuned for a good 15-20hp and runs on 89 octane.
The cz is probably easier since its pretty much plug and play while the e-manage requires some work to install. Plus you can probably find a cz in the for sale forum and save a bunch of money. Tuning isn't that difficult if you have a canscan and some patients... or you should be abot to just to to a shop and they should be able to tune it (however personally i'd be cautious with tuning things on a dyno since it the car doesn't seem to react very well on a dyno).
