Singing intake?

Singing intake?
I installed my AEM CAI last night and am noticing that it makes a consistent high pitch noise (I think it's a C# haha) which is decently loud. The sound remains regardless of engine load or RPM and is definitely coming from the filter itself, is this normal?

entirely and TOTALLY off topic... but this is the first thing I thought of when reading the title, something I've been looking at building as one of my HV learning experiences....
Yes that is REALLY the arc/plasma stream producing everything you hear, nice choice of tunes too...
