A slightly different Header question...
From what I understand, there is only like 2-3 whp to be unlocked from a header on the RX8. All of the headers out there seem to be equal length headers too. However, I saw one picture of the knightsports one, where it appeared not to be equal length. Maybe it was the picture angle fooling me. However, since there is not a large gain in power to be had, what about sound? What is the sound difference after installing a header? And what would be the sound difference of equal lengthv vs. non equal length on a rotary? Assuming that the knightssports truly isnt equal length, is it the only one that isnt? Like I said, 2 or 3 hp doesnt matter to me, I wont be able to feel that, but I will be able to hear a sound difference all the time, just wanted to know what it would sound like...

Also, through a combined, intake, header, supercat, and catback, what kind of gains if any would I be looking at?

intake would give you most of the gains, the supercat would probably lean out your fuel a little bit but you pcm would accomadate for that and take away most of the gains after a short period. I'm guess you'll get +/-5 avg whp throughout the band and maybe more at the peak if that, after a while though it might be even less.

I know that I'm not looking at much whp. Sorry, but 5whp doesnt really matter to me, I wont be able to feel that. But I am interested in hearing this thing scream, my question was more towards the sounds differences...

Hm, just for sound?
$1000 for headers
$300 for intake
$600 for exhaust
$400 for supercat
$2300 is an awful a lot of money to spend for just sound. But if you must, do a search there are sound clips of the these things in different combinations. I doubt you'll find anyone with headers though.

Need For Speed has the RE Headers installed. I have two clips posted of his entire system installed:

Missed the OBX header thread eh? Quality is truly unknown at this time, but for the price it's worth a shot! Also appears to be a copy of the RE-A (based on looks/design) but without the center exhaust port divider.

"The max potential with a header and race exhaust would be around 10HP."
As for an intake some will actually reduce HP (K&N Typhoon), the racing beat Revi intake will grab you ~2.5HP gain.
Total gain 12.5 HP and you would have spent ~ $3,000.00 make me sick to think about that.
Just buy the Greddy kit for that or get an aluminum flywheel and Supercat.
