So does the polished tray offering have a powder/ceramic clear coat? Is this an option or left up to the buyer?
That would be something the purchaser could do.

Didn't have a top mount to try it on. If you want to be the guinea pig. Send me a PM.

Yes it would. I wasn't asking for myself.

Does that replace all of the airbox components? or just the top portion?

I may not be making sense here - there are three plastic pieces to the factory airbox.... I want them all BHR style!

That unit replaces the bottom airbox tray with a complete unit. Bottom and sides. Top is a bolt on to the base component. It's open in the back (Firewall side).

Smoke is bad for the health, this box is cool!
Very cool add-on BHR!

@Team: I run without the plastic tray and my intake temps are very close to ambient temp. In my opinion the radiant heat coming from an aluminium box would be minimal and the airflow inside the AEM is fast enough not to get heat soaked even at a traffic light.

I swear to God, this is getting rediculous. I drew up almost the same thing 3 days ago as I'm getting a new welder tomorrow or wednesday and this is on my list of todo's. Just wasn't sure if I was going to gold foil the bottom or not, guess I don't have to. Building a braile battery tray into mine though.

Looks real good guys, keep it up.

You have the large box Phil. This will not work with your current setup. Unless you want to get rid of the large box. And make me mount all the stuff that's in your large box in the little tray. I don't see that happening.

I suppose I could have the lower section of the air box you have polished. Is that something you would consider?
