Apples to apple comparison would pit both with midpipes or both with stock cats.

You cannot argue that any catless exhaust will be louder than with. No duh.

I only have experience with the TurboXS and it does sound way different in person. I love it. Have the straight pipe, and catback with no silencer. It's very deep and satisfying. But I also have a turbo, so it's going to be quieter than N/A. I don't know how loud it would be on N/A, might be too loud and get you some unwanted attention.

I guess that a turbo has about 60-80% of the stock cat's muffling power.

Okay, well I have a RP Super Cat sitting in my storage collecting dust. I will probably throw that on with the Hi-Power if I get it. But I wonder how it would sound with the Turbo XS? I just HATE raspy sounding exhausts...I think they sound so cheap and the rasp is what reminds me of a cheap civic exhaust.

Well with the turbo XS and "test pipe" as he calls it... In my opinion, sounds like a rice shop full of drifters. :x Just teasing, but really, I don't like that sound.

Hey Msql, you're running NA right now right? What exhaust set-up are you using?

full turboxs (catless midpipe and exhaust).

my turboxs has upgraded SLP style tips (extended by 6" over the stock turboxs setup) and a CC insert (straight through style muffler) because it was too loud without it.

Cool, how does it sound compared to when you had your turbo on? You wouldn't happen to have a video clip would you? BTW love your YouTube vids.
