Check out the above thread I have going. I just bought the SR Pullet set. Mr M. and Charles Hill gave some guidance. Mr M said to make sure that you press the brake pedal 20 times fast so you do not get an error on the MIL.
Tell me what you find out about this.

The pulleys are very efficient and do benefit the cars performance and gas mileage but we have to deal with Mazda's original screw up, leading to all these flashs and they are still not done trying to get the car properly balanced. Currently the M flash only benefits the car in stock form and if it was running too rich from the start, any aftermarket mods, no matter how benefical will suffer from CELitz. That is why I haven't had mine flashed and my dealer has supported me on waiting till Maxda gets it right.
So, what do we do with you and others with similar mods and the M flash? I'm not sure!! Your car, like mine is advancing faster in timing from the stock setting of -5 BTDC because of the pulleys. Since Mazda plays with the timing through it's ECU there is a conflict when they control 100% of the settings. Normally disconnecting the battery for 2 hours and doing the 20 pedal foot stomp 2x should correct the CEL problem. Disconnecting the battery on a M flash won't work, but the 20 foot stomp should of worked and does with the K & L flash.
Perhaps the solution is to get back to Greg and see if he can come up with a solution since, they sell the pulleys and should responsibly deal with some of these problems. They have their own RX-8 to experiment on to come up with solutions and should be part of their marketing/sales strategy of their products .

Success,I unhooked the battery for three hours and did the twenty brake
petal hit and CEL went off. I had to perform a Steering Angle Sensor
calibration procedure to get DSC light to go off.

Great news about getting the CEL off.
Follow up in about a week and let us know if the light comes back on..... Also could you not have pressed in the DSC button for 7 seconds to get it turned off? Why~what is the Steering Angle Sensor calibration?

anytime you disconnect the battery you have to recalibrate the DSC. its in the owners manual. holding the DSC button down for 7 seconds just deactivates till the ignition is turned off and then back on again.

I have had M flash and pullies for some time with no CEL with many hard pulls (every day).
When I first had pullies installed, I had CEL for about 2 weeks, but after resetting ECU, battery disconnect, the CEL has never returned. I just removed my K&N intake and have replaced with SR intake. Much quieter - I am wrestling with a decision of getting an exhaust system, I just don't want the car too loud since I also have SR high flow cat, without extra resonator.

OK I disconnected the baterry for the entire night. This morning I changed the oil and filter, reset the DSC, and then did the 20x brake pedal press in 8 seconds twice, with 30 seconds between each set. On each 20x press, I had the oil gauge sweep up then back down :-)
Next I drove it hard on the highway, redlining it 3 times in a row with out any CEL. I then drove it hard for ~15 miles and never had any CEL or anything. Idle is still very smooth.
The car must have learned the new aFe Filter and SR Pulley inputs.
This car is 100% awesome. Flywheel is scheduled to go in on Thursday.....this will not be done by me :-(
