Do the math yourself - they are supposed to move the intake a little further from the engine, insulating it from the heat, cooling the charge. We don't even have a 'manifold' like a piston engine.....

You have a manifold. You don't have a plenum. It is used on plenum equipped cars to move the throttlebody farther away which increases the plenum size and changes tuning. I don't buy into it doing anything on a Renesis.
