I was reading through your earlier posts. Looks like you are looking for easy, moderate modifications to make the RX8 a better car.

Might I suggest (all in my opinion.)

1) Tires (I am salivating over getting some Nitto NT-05s)

2) Wheels are a nice addition, though not required. Decide before you buy tires, tho. I recommend the RP-F1. I have 275s on my car that weigh as much as the stock 225.

3) Suspension; the rx8 rolls a bit much. Sways and coilovers are easy to install (will need to align) Dont go crazy with the drop. 1.5 inches is WAY more than enough. An adjustable rear sway is nice to have.

4) Lightened flywheel. Easier rev matching, and a little free hp.

5) Exhaust. If you are stupid like me, delete the cat. This is the biggest HP increase you will get from easy bolt on mods. And it will only be about 12hp. If you do delete the cat, you will want to buy an AP so as to get rid of the CEL.

I would stay away from:
1) Pullies
2) CF hoods (unless you want to spend big $ to get one that fits.)
3) intakes. The stock box rulz.

Big power is only going to come from FI or nitrous. Expect to spend lots of money and time. And buy lots of parts not included in the kit.

I have been happy with my aftermarket Bride seats. Much better than the stockers, though a little narrow. Also a bit pricey in my opinion.

Anyway, I think all of that falls under the definition of increased performance. The RX8 is a great handling machine. Build on that strength. I have ran with NA cars that were just as quick on back roads as my turboed car. You dont need power to be fast.

You could also invest in an HPDE

thanks for the input! as much as I drive my car, i'm very happy with it in stock form. I do want an exhaust system (been eyeballing the ExoticSpeed R1-T) and that will probably be it for a while!
