I agree. I find the Blitz kit to be the most promising... although the Greddy kit may be cheaper. I hope a little price war brings these to the market at $3,000. I would also like to see the Mazdaspeed model is going to look like.

Ric (*in an Austin Power voice..."if you really are Ric Shaw") is your ECU going to be able to support the tuning for the Trust/Greddy kit?

If Ric's ecu is fully programmable (which it is), there should be no issues about running forced induction.

The car is making ~180 at the wheels which means the real output at the crank is ~210 or thereabouts, if I recall correctly.

I think maybe this is 260 at the crank, for a gain of around 50 HP, probably about right for a motor already at 11:1 compression.

I can understand where you're coming from, BUT... why would they measure the base performance numbers on a chassis dyno giving RWHP, and then turn around and give FWHP? That makes no sense, because it isn't directly comparable and they are still pulling the numbers in the same way (from a chassis dyno). I know for 100% sure that Knight Sports is using one because I directly asked them. Also the BLITZ article specifically stated that it is a 80ps gain over the stock 180ps for a total of 260ps...

It is a 10:1 compression ratio.

Neglected info...

Ok... sorry auto owners I left out the article on the turbo auto RX-8 being worked on by RE-Amemiya and GReddy/Trust. From the looks of the pics, I'd say it looks just like the GReddy/Trust kit mentioned earlier.

NOTE: Like before... I'm not getting paid for this, so this is summarization and snippage...

MAX Power is a completely useful 250hp

Dreams fulfilled, how much is the potential of the turbo 8!!

RE Amemiya machines always use Trust turbines. Mr. Amemiya is one of the more trusted tuners and at the same time the Trust turbine that we've all been dying to use.

When Mr. Amemiya began planning turbo-izing the RX-8, Trust was also beginning development of their turbo kit. So it became that the Amemiya Turbo RX-8 was developed together with Trust, and the entire actual development work was done by Trust.

The RE Amemiya AT Turbo was displayed at Enkei's booth at Tokyo Auto Salon, however it wasn't complete yet.

Using the TD06-18G turbine as the base. Presently it's making up to 260ps.
