outkast, if your really serious about this, you might have some interesting discussions with Charles R. Hill about driveline weak points and what can be done about them; axles, tranny, PPF, etc etc he is a VERY knowledgable person and has quite the hookup on a lot of things(Black Halo Racing), and is the sole source for a few things.
there are some BIG names using some of BHR products, axles and radiator come to mind

Its up in the air at this point what I will actually do with it. I will get it running at the very least, and if its not what I want I may end up selling it. I originally wanted a daily driver, and I cant see this one being that. But, the reason I wanted a Rx8 in the first place is the love for the monster rotarys. My main concern at this point is getting the ECU figured out and getting it tuned correctly.

Finally Boosted!!!!!!!
This is definately not a daily driver but it sounds like you have your priorities right. Get the thing running, tuned, and then see what breaks. Fix it and keep going until something else breaks. This could really be a monster if thats what you are looking for.

yea, it will be easier when I have it here in front of me. I havent seen many people upgrading the drivetrain on the Rx8 with the renesis, I wonder how well it would hold up at 400hp? Yea, I know thats asking alot.

theres always charles r hill (bhr) that offers some hefty *** halfies.
as per the tranny, you can either go with a bolt on set up that scott (mazsport) offers. (3rd gen tranny)
or you can design/make your own tranny mount.
thats the route I'm doing.
either way you look at it, TIME and FUNDS baby TIME and FUNDS........

yea, as with anything. Are the 3rd gen trannies the ticket? Fabrication is not a big deal, I have a couple lifts at the house so I can easily work on it from underneath. Shifter location the same on both?

I actually built this car, feel free to PM me if you want any details of what's what. Funny to see it ended up in Atlanta. Looks like some mixing and matching was done as it's not quite the way it was when it left me!
The engine is a 13B-RE from a Cosmo. You should be able to drop in most T4 turbos (it used to be a GT4088 non-ballbearing) and a Tial 44mm wastegate. The injectors are RC 550cc primaries and Bosch 1600cc secondaries, and hopefully the fuel pump made it. The ECU map should still be good for that exact combo as it was dyno'd and tuned fairly recently.

Doubtful, but at the auctions things can go missing. Normally not a big deal, but one something so modified like this it can be a nightmare if you arent familiar with everything.

Sent you a PM, give me a call sometime and I will tell you what's what (at least what was what when I had the car). I almost put a 20B in that car but ended up putting it in my racecar instead
