Hello all,
I just wanted to give all of you customers who have placed orders for our RX8 Cat-back exhaust heads up on the Race Pipes that have been out of Stock. We are waiting for a container to come in from Australia. It has been delayed slightly so we are expecting to see them in 2-3 weeks time. I ask that you please bare with us until we get them back instock and we can ship them to you.
The container is due in to port on the 18th of Sept. All who have not received a Race Pipe will receive their units shortly after that date.
If you have any question please feel free to email me or Call Me.
Thanks,

Running the full TurboXS headerback exhaust on a turbo rx8 with longer tips. It is AWESOME. Might be too loud on a NA rx8, though the silencers might help, but on a turbo rx8 w/o silencers, it is perfection. Replaced the tips immediately to kill any potential bumper melting issues.

old thread revival. lol
do u guys think it would be possible to run the turboxs header back... then at the y peice, install a Greddy part including y split, mufflers and tips?
i assume it would take some custom piping?
i know its going from a 3" to something smaller, but seeing as it splits into two at this section it would be less restrictive.
i ask this because i love the Greddy tips.

ok. maybe there is no replys becoz it was my first post and u were all like....pffft, not worth the effort.
truth is im in australia and go on our forums everyday. i come to these forums maybe once a week. i decided to ask this question here becoz there are alot more people and alot more information.
i know the idea of using the turboxs system then changing the muffler section was brought up previously in this very thread but i didnt understand it
any information about using a greddy and turboxs combination would be greatly appreciated.
i dont want to go out and spend over 2 grand on both the systems only to find out that it wont work.

You could also try to see if you can get just the greddy tips & have them added. Id imagine your idea would work, but would require some custom exhaust work at a shop. Sounds like an expensive thing to do... why not just go with one exhaust or the other?

anyone have this exhaust and have leak issues? i bought this exhaust a while back. first they shipped me the wrong gaskets so i had to wait for a correct gasket kit. didnt realize of course until my exhaust was completely removed. got the new gasket kit installed the exhaust with race pipe. race pipe is way way way to loud. took it off. attached to cat. still sounds good especially when you rev it up.
but now the exhaust leaks. the inside of the car always smells like gas, always need windows down which sucks when its raining and you are at a long light and smell nothing but fumes. i would not recomend this exhaust. i might be selling mine. i need something new. i cant take the smell of exhaust inside the car much longer. my rear passengers smell it more. so if you have kids or people who sit in the back i really dont recomend it. my 2 cents. if there is a fix for this or if a turboxs rep sees this feel free to pm me.
i also think the tips could stick out further and look nicer. but other then the smell of fumes constantly in the car i love the exhaust.

I'm not sure what their official policy is, but as a warning, when I contacted them about my shrouds melting it took them approx. 1 year to get back to me or do anything... they will respond but it may take a few emails or calls

yeah im not gonna hold my breath. i just want to sell it and get somehting else if i cant get a fix or a new turboxs exhaust or updated pipe or something. i hate waiting at a light and smelling nothing but fumes. i read in anoter thread about turboxs that Wert4580 also has a leak in there car with a brand new gasket. if thats that kind of products turboxs makes, and is unwilling to fix or help then i hope they dont make any other products for our car. i wouldnt buy any other products from them just from this expierence.

Got my system back in August of 2009 for a birthday present to myself. ABSOLUTELY love it. I tossed my silencers in the trash because I loved the tone of the system. I go "little man brain" syndrome when I drive through tunnels..I love it.
Blew a gasket after 2 weeks, but who cares it's a cheap gasket anyway. I ordered an upgraded 10mm carbon gasket and now it's gone. As for the smells I don't mind. In fact I prefer it, because Captain Planet was a terrible show.

@BlackRX82006
Do you have the midpipe installed, or just the catback?
@J_Owens
Do you still smell gas/fumes with the midpipe installed, or does this only occur when the catback is connected to stock cat?

how do you have both pipes hooked up? im not to sure with the midpipe as i took it right off after i put it on because it was stupid loud, going 5 miles an hour sounded like i was going 100mph with silencers out and with silencers in didnt sound to good to me so i put the stock cat on much better. just dont like the smell of fumes. i sold the mid pipe since i wasnt going to use it. only had it on for a day or so then took it off because again it sounded stupid loud. looked so dumb going 5mph and sounding like your going 100mph imo

How do I have both pipes hooked up? Well I have it hanging by the rubber exhaust bushings. Then I have the midpipe bolted to the header, then the catback bolted to the midpipe

oh ok when he asked if you had the midpipe or the catback installed, i took it as maybe he was calling the midpipe the "racepipe" because obviously you have to have the midpipe and the catback installed so i thought you meant you had the race pipe and the midpipe installed. when i mentioned midpipe in my above comment i meant it as the "racepipe" because i thought thats what he meant when he asked you.

Yea I was wondering if he was using the racepipe/midpipe or just hooking the cat back up to stock. I don't want to drive around without a cat and having CEL blindness but from what I gather the 2.5 to 3.0 in gasket will cause fumes in cockpit.. So I'm SOL

Bumpin'
Really considering this exhaust as one of my first aftermarket mods on my '07. It's not only one of the cheapest quality exhausts but is also one of the best sounding, if you ask me.
One problem I'm pretty concerned about is loudness, though. I know it's loud, but is it like... "You're begging to get pulled over" loud? Can I drive regularly (Shifting every 4k/5k) without it attracting too much attention? This is for daily driving.

^^^ My main concern too...
Also because I don't like obnoxiously loud exhausts very much... ESPECIALLY when they're on Honda Civics and Ford Mustangs with a stick-on "GT-R" emblem on 'em... I laughed when I saw the mustang with it... XD

Then find a different exhaust, this one is not for you.
