If you are a studen I would suggest you consentrate on your books and not mods. Just some friendly advice from someone that has been there recently.

I am a performance first kinda guy, so I like the exhaust for sure, larger tips would be nice if it didnt make the exhaust much louder, which bigger tips can do, I was also wondering what the weight of the system is, and if it could be lightened any more with a titanium design, or if it would even be worth it, as in the weight savings would be minimal with titanium.

When ppl say that the TurboXS exhaust is low, exactly what are they referring to?

The pipe that runs from the Cat to the muffler...where it connects with the Y pipe to the muffler is low to the ground. This was an observation/comment that was made after following "Toca"...a member in my area who has the exhaust.

It hasn't been a problem so far though, but it is lower compared to the other exhausts.

Can someone please tell me what that bulge is on the pipe extending away from the muffler.

If it's a resonator, why would there be a resonator on a cat-back system? I thought a resonator was only for mid pipes/high flow cats?

to help quiet the damn thing down... you have to remember they are selling this as a system with a mid pipe for max hp gain....

i know they are being sold seperate, but the concept it what gets the resonator in there...

just my opionion, i could be wrong..

beers

Where do they sell just the muffler? I already have a catless B&B midpipe and i'm leaning between Racing Beat Exhaust or TurboXS.

The only places I have seen it are VividRacing (699.99):
http://ww2.vividracing.com/catalog/v...sort/3a/page/2

and TurboXS (799.99)
http://www.turboxs.com/shop_car4.php?car=16

Does anyone know another place to purchase this exhaust at a lower price?

If you want looks, get the Racing Beat. If you want performance, get the TurboXS.

So what does everyone do about the CEL? What about service days?

I'd have a CEL anyway, so I don't really trip over it. If you are worried about your service department, put you stock cat back on for awhile. It takes less that 45 min. Btw, I found a tip alternative I think I may get. Check them out and let me know what you all think: http://www.proficientperformance.com...son_tips_slash

Bottom of the page. 3in inlet, 4in outlet.

hmm.. i wanted to sell my stock cat though (no emissions). Plus, it's not entirely practical to have to do a swap every time i bring it in.. i mean if i have to i guess i will.. but is there any way to get around it? a decent fooler or perhaps resetting the ECU?

that could work.. I might have to look into it. Hard to imagine how they'd look on the car from there though... who's gonna be the 1st lab rat?

EDIT: 12 inches seems long though doesn't it?

the tips look like the tips that come on the full size truck exhausts. They look fine, but I think they fit best of a full size truck. By the way, I thought you were looking for a titanium tip as well?

Just finished installing TXS catback+midpipe tonight. replaced my borla and stock cat. first impressions..MUCH LOUDER. sounds meaner and has a very nice growl to it at lower rpms. i love it. but rev it higher and it starts to get more raspy.. not particularly crazy about the sound there, and its stinking loud, but that's pretty much what you get with a midpipe.. on a rotary no less. all in all i'm pleased.

Can't say i feel any noticeable gain, though. first of all, i wasn't expecting any because it's about tuning with this car. if i were to dyno it and get 5 hp peak at certain rpm yeah i guess i wouldn't be surprised.. but there's no way i can feel that (maybe some of you can).. so my guess is i'm still about where i was at before. it's cool. i didn't get this expecting the 25whp or whatever. i'm taking baby steps twds a worthy turbo set up in the future..(hurry up, scott lol)

another thing though.. the bolts that connected the cans to the connecting pipe seemed to be the wrong size.. wouldn't bolt on right.. for the time being i had to go with thinner bolts that were laying around but it seems to be the reason for a small leak at that connection.. kinda sucks but it's an easy fix. Drove it approx. 5 miles or so pretty hard. no CEL yet (crossing fingers). the drive tonight was nowhere near long enough to test it so only time will tell.

it's a nice setup. no regrets. i'd recommend it to anyone looking for a header back system

Give us pic! If you can. I haven't seen any pics of the tips protruding out the bumper. And I know some people have said they were small. Pics would be much appriciated!
