Does anyone else that has the ver 2 have a weird sound at high RPM. It starts out sounding great and then sounds like it is gurggling at high RPM. It just doesnt sound right. ANyone else or ideas what this could be?

sorry. It is true though. The stock box is a highly refined unit from the well designed flow horn to the variable fresh air intake integration. Just throw in a K$N drop in filter and that is really the best you can do.

I have experience on wasting money on this. I bought a first gen K$N. :hides face in shame:

They improved the whole thing thats why theres Version 2, well u can say that "copied" RB's design. but its still better.

I had Version 1 and now Im using Version 2. Everything except for the price has been improved over the older version.

back to topic.

HIgh RPM u should hear a "ding ding ding", "grrrRRRrr", or "fuUuuuuUUu" kind of sound.especially at full throttle. Im not sure if its normal or not cuz I got that kind of sound from "day 1" of my Version 2. but hey my Engine didnt blow up yet so I think its fine (for now, dunno about long term)

but, remember, the new design "requires" a clean up pretty quick, maybe just bcuz Im in NYC where all the dust are. I clean my filter every 1/2 year,and yes its quite tirty when I open it.

 

yea maybe it just needs to be cleaned I dont know, i'll get the recharge kit. ANyone Else??
