Umnitza/simota intake !!!
Guys,
I hope to clear up all the bad press about this intake unit. I got the intake yesterday from Umnitza and installed it. I am running smooth as ever and got no ISSUES at all!!! I have done over a 100 miles and no CEL's or anything strange.
This is a well made intake and I would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a CAI.
Regards

I also installed this intake within the last few days. With the MAF screen in place, it hasn't been a problem.
However, I also dyno'd my car the week before I installed it, and plan on running another dyno after it's installed. I want some independent numbers as to whether or not this intake is a help, neutral or harmful to overall performance.
That said, for the most post I do like the difference in sound.
The design though leaves me wondering how it would be possible for this intake to be an improvement over the stock intake. It seems like it would have to be pulling warm/hot air from the engine bay, as well as from the stock intake duct. Maybe someone else can explain why it won't be a problem.

I also wanted to add that this is one of the very few intakes that does not make the car stall. I designed a intake when I first got my car and could not get it to work correctly so hats off to you guys.
