Refunding Konig? Well, each issue needs resolution in private. I'm no longer interested in hashing out details about refunds on the public forums. It doesn't do anyone - especially the customer - any good to hash things out without understanding both sides in public.
Konig's situation (I'm guessing) is related to a length of time on the return. We cannot handle returns past 30 days on our transaction processor and only via special considerations are even able to handle a 1 or 2 times per year issue of 60 days or less.
If you decide 45 days after receiving all the parts you suddenly don't want that item, I wish we could play Walmart, but we cannot. We are a small business.
Izoomzoom would have gotten a free intake, in fact I had every intention of doing so, perhaps my biggest fault was not communicating that as soon as we DID get an intake that was sufficiently ready (remember everyone suddenly claimed there were issues).
Let's see how this could have played out:
Izoomzoom gets a new intake and it makes his car bog and fails it. I'd be flamed.
Izoomzoom doesn't get his intake because we recognize possible issues but instead flames us anyways.
etc.
I'm not a bad guy but when people attack me for absolutely no reason, I'm sorry, my decency, benevolence, and good nature disappears. Professionalism is important, but I'm not here to serve the 3% of the people that don't appreciate my products/service. You have to cut your losses somewhere.
When anyone asked for a refund for the product that wasn't shipped or they had some doubts or concerns, they got their emails answer, refunds given immediately, and concerns addressed.
That is the sign of a good business. But random acts of kindness for people that don't appreciate it anyways aren't a good way to build a foundation for quality service because you spend all your time chasing people that aren't appreciative instead of helping those that are.

Adios.

Mortal Moxie...
I don't think you'll be disappointed. I bought Konig's old intake and after some fiddling I am very happy with this product. Once I get a week's worth of use out of it I'll post my review.

Seriously wtf.
I ordered my intake on Saturday morning and I get it today?!
That's ridiculous service. OMG!
I picked the cheapest shipping method possible. I wasn't expecting it until Friday. I might have to install this bad boy tonight. The thing looks beautiful. I'm sure I got my greasy finger prints all over it already.
You're customer service has exceeded my expectations.
I'll report back with install info tonight.
You guys rock!

Ok I decided to install the intake tonight.
The directions were bland, and obviously written to fit on one piece of paper.
Getting the stock housing out is easy enough. It's like looking at a puzzle with about 3 or four pieces. You can clearly, and obviously see where everything goes and fits.
Everything screwed in tight, except the MAF. I felt like it didnt sit snugg against it's clip. The screw holes weren't flush. I'll reexamine it to make sure I did everything right.
Got everything plugged in and tightened up.
Took it out for a rip.
Like everyone says. At idle, it sounds stock, but depending on how much gas you give it, it gets louder. Very loud at WOT.
So I took it down my road. Opened it up at the first oportunity. With the windows open it actually hurt my left ear. Kinda odd. I mean, this thing screams. I'll keep the windows closed more.
Brought it to a industrial park where alot of us used to race when we were younger. Once a few stragglers from the daily commute were gone I really dragged it down the entire strip.
Here's the odd part. It felt laggy. I watched the mph go up to 60 and it seemed to take longer than normal. The sound could be screwing with my perception of speed, but it definitely felt a little sluggish. The only indicator that I did not lose any power of speed was that I still chirped second and third.
Has anyone else noticed a laggyness with it?
Ultimately it looks great, it was shipped to me really quick, and it sounds totally awesome. Pure *****. I'm gonna take it out again tonight, once I'm a little more alert. Long day at work.
Thanks for reading, Thanks Umnitza.
Edit: BTW, Should I post this as a new thread? It will be easier to find in a search, and I honestly just feel like it's going to get buried in the boards.

You 've answered your own question.......before the MAF. Sandwich it between the filter and MAF pipe. BTW I found this intake to be very restrictive and a waist of money. It is loud as hell at WOT.....kinda annoying in my opinion. The only thing I feel it is good for is dressing up the engine bay. You could have saved some money making your own AEM style CAI....cost me about $110 to make mine. Alot of ppl think I bought it.

Hi guys,
i am new to the site and i must say the info on here is outstanding. I found this post most interesting as im suffering issues with this intake.
I fitted this intake at the beginning of December and intially it was awesome but on its first journey at high speed on the freeway i got the dropping rpm and then leading onto the car cutting out.
I fitted the standard airbox again and was trouble free for around 120 miles until refitting the umnitza today.
I read this thread last night and thought i'll fit a mesh to the intake and have another go. I did this today and then took the car for a 20 mile blast of mixed driving and then it all started again. Its seems as the hotter the car gets the worse the symptoms are. But only with this intake installed. It is really bugging me as i like the look and the noise of the intake.
Any ideas? I've been emailing umnitza directly but they dont really have any answers.

Did you try resetting the ECU to see if it helps? Try the brake pedal method, it can't hurt. I know anytime I change a tune the car idles and acts weird while trying to relearn.
#417
yeah i reset the ecu everytime i have fitted the umnitza or the standard airbox.
I am getting the exact same issues as stricker did but his issues were resolved it seems when he fitted the mesh into the intake. My issues havent for some reason. So frustrating.

Sucks. Just sell it and run the stock intake.
