Unorthodox Racing Underdrive Pulley
#26
In what gear was the test done. It will only show a hp gain in lower gears. No different then a light flywheel, just at the other end of the e shaft.
The underdrive pulleys cannot be used with the SC but can with the turbo. Just know that the turbo is adding heat and the UD pulley is slowing down your water pump. Since the SC drives off the crank pulley it has to be large to get the speed.
I concur that the light pulleys may give a recorded hp gain in lower gears, the underdrive is a poor trade off. If you live in cold part of the world or a hot too, you will be running several accesorys at the same time. Don't forget your 400+ watt stereo. some of those guys are actually adding another altenator. I remember Bill Harrah had two alt's on his Ferrari 365 GTC that he used to drive from the casino to his ranch. He had Learjet landing lights on lt for running that dark road at night.
That reminds me I tried it too. Remembering that about Harrah. Once when going up to the Reno Air Races I took Wilt Chamberlain's Lambo Contach. So I got some of those lights and put them on. Man they work. If I wanted to I could blind an on coming driver if I left them on to long before dimming. I can't remember them draining the bat though. I guess Harrah had a longer darker road.

One more thing, You are getting STD corrected numbers from you dyno operator.
There not giving you actual on the dial numbers.
They select a correction on the control panel that gives them Std or SAE.
Then they print out the results.
