I just installed a Koyo this afternoon.
It took about 2 hours. The install is EXACTLY as outlined in the shop manual. Absolutely no suprises.
I live in the desert, so daytime ambient temps are often above 110°. It was 117°F today.
That said, you won't really see "lower temps" with a bigger radiator. What an upgrade radiator does for you is increase the "cushion" for the cooling system, making it harder to overwhelm it.
I'll grab an eManage datalog tonight to compare to one from last night, but what the rad does is reduce the level of sudden increase the cooling system sees as a ton of heat is suddenly dumped into it.

The piece is beautiful - its too bad that it is completely invisible once it is installed.

I have the PWR radiator, with the upgraded silicon hoses. It was a bit tedious, but definitely bigger, with more capacity. Can't go wrong either way.

Its time bring this old dead thread back to the day !

I ordered a koyo from ebay (got it @ pretty good price) and will be here in a few days.

I wanted to replace the factory hose with silicone one. it seems that agency power is the only company that has direct *bolt on* hose for our car @ a pretty good price, for both upper and lower hose.

I also found that Blitz has this *cooling performer* upper hose, that already has an opening for water temp. gauge. but this only has the upper hose.

If I get Agency power, where should I *tap* my temp gauge sensor to ? the upper hose right ? it has no openings so should I cut the hose in half, install the temp adapter and connect it back ?

If I get Blitz, should I replace the factory bottom hose with a new one, or find some other silicone hose and *bend* it to the *Right* size ? (if I can)

Thanks

Any progress on this?

I was researching (believe it or not) Koyo radiators. The Blitz hose sounds like a good idea seeing some on the problems folks are having getting good temp readings for their gauges.

I have not committed yet. The Ebay prices sounded too good to be true and wanted to see what you did or did not get.

Its a PITB, but not too technical.
There are some things that can go wrong, so I'd say pay someone to do it if you have never done that sort of thing ever before.

so we should buy both the agency power hoses and the Blitz one? cause it is gonna be easier to tap the water temp. sensor to the Blitz one.
also, how much is the Blitz one then?

Let me answer to that.

I have Koyo and Agency installed.

Koyo has perfect fit, Price is ok, 340 shipped to my door (NYC), I wouldnt want to try other radiators.

Agency power hose comes in 2 pcs, 1 for the upper , and the other one goes from the Water jacket to the radiator. So the Engine to Water Jacket hose is still my old rubber hose

I am not sure whats the Blitz one is for, but from the shape, it looks like its the one that runs from water jacket to radiator. I want to try it, but its a 130 bux worth of bet that Im still not sure should I try or not.

Koyo can keep the Temp steady longer than stock rad.

Silcone hose is not god, they can still break, its just that it wont expand like rubber, and can last longer than rubber hose.

For the install part, you can do it yourself, if you follow exactly what the service Manual saids, theres not much to go wrong. but it will be great if you have someone to help you. Cuz its easy to break your A/C Condenser in the process. oh Also, if you really going to do it yourself, give yourself alot of time, do NOT rush anything.

It took me almost 10 hours of time, yeah call me slow, but it was a hot day, I took Lunch break and break time, which was like 2-3 hours. And the help (brother) didnt come until really late game. few things to keep in mind, stock rubber hose was a bitch to take off, and I rounded some of the bolts (replaced), and I broke my stock radiator while trying to take the old stock rubber hose off.

I dont know if it would mess anything up, but I would no go with the blitz. You could get the AP, and cut one in half and put this in place.

Only $26 from Prosport.

That's easily fixed MM.

Just add one of your Avitars to the radiator and viola............. No more invisability!
