vfad-intake question

i have a k&N v2 typhoon, my vfad is still in place. can i get rid of the vaccum lines, canister, sensor, ect? if i cap the port on the tb will the vfad stay open all the time?
what would i do with the harness for the sensor if i can remove it?

thanks jesse

Isnt that the hot air intake? I think you would be better off just installing the oem one again so its at least cold air. Wouldn't the whole vfad/snorkle part not be doing anything at all anyway because of the intake you put on there? Just from looking at it it seems like it needs a seal like the stock intake so its actually drawing air through that and not from the engine bay. Maybe I am thinking of the wrong part I dont know, I'm sure someone else will post.

If your dead set on keeping your "upgraded" intake then heres a link to how to delete the whole snorkle(whatever its called) in the bumper. Hopefully its ok to post this, its just a local rotary site for vegas. http://z10.invisionfree.com/SincityR...?showtopic=132
