61 and 72 are idle dB (in car and at the exhaust) - my dealer said ti is at 3000 rpm ... and 86 and 92 at blast.

My dealer said max sound level is 102 dB at 9000 rpm!!!!

102,900 yen though

takahashi > great
you attached the pics for more info about the fujitsubo's exhaust... but i don't understand nothing :D
how much is it for the fujitsubo? Here in France it is about 1200€

I was ok for the fujitsubo but somebody adviced me not to take the fujitsubo because he said that it won't give me more HP, and he adviced me to take the greddy in order to win some HP. Is he right?

I was adviced that Fujitsubo has the best quality exhaust and they are a more expesive exhaust in the Japanese market - sort of high end stuff. You don't get many race car with it as Fujitsubo does not do any intake so race team will not get good part if they use Fuji.

But Fuji are used by a lot of Jap. REMEMBER that they are famous for making nothing but exhaust ... well may be extractor as well

It has increase in power. Perheps less then HKS and RE Amemiya ( not sure about Greddy )
Legalis R is modest in sound but big in lower and mid range power - not in high end. More of a driver's exhaust then a racer. I use it as to compensate me overshifting when racing anyway.
Don't know much about the Greddy exhaust...

You will find that many people mod their car with different exhaust - it is certainly very differnent for diff purpose and no one has monopoly in this field - that makes it interesting.

Fuji had my vote coz it is light, sounds modest, promote low and mid range.
If you are attention seeking - go for HKS - as it is nice, looking good and sound GREAT (also in magnitude )

Oh Fuji is A$1500 here... if 1200 Euro not too bad.

Hope I convince you.

One more thing aim for more HP - add a ECU and intake!

Do you have sample for a fuji sound? I allready found out HKS sound but impossible to find fuji sound.

The best for me it's to have an exhaust which are a little louder at low and mid rpm than stock exhaust and very louder at high rpm. Thought it was the case for the fuji but you said that it's louder at low and mid rpm right? :/

Have the HKS sound, with the RX8?

Could you pass that on please?

No it is not loud at all at driving range (3000- say 7000)

It is loud at 9000 (102 db) --- that is like --- very loud... like a big truck??

BUt like HKS will sound like a truck at 6000K and loud from the start - whcih I don't want

NG man... you gotta go to the Tokyo Motorshow on the passenger vehicle years (every other year is commercial vehicles)... there are MUCH hotter girls there. Or go to a GP bike race at Motegi... dem race queens... OUCH! Too hot.

Now that that has been said. Few in the states will buy the import exhausts... only those that blindly worship import products. Why? Because as stated earlier... power is generally the same for them all and the US made systems cost half the price of import systems.

I have yet to hear any aftermarket exhausts, but Jason at RX-8 Store says they all sound almost the same to him. So it really comes down to looks and longevity...long term quality of the system. For that... my money is Borla and Racing Beat... after that... that Magnaflow system is lookin' sharp. Real sharp. RX-8 store is a good value. Greddy is a good maker, but them tips... too big. B&B is probably good, but I've never heard of them before (don't own a Porsche) and they just don't stand out to me in the crowd much. HKS... why would I bother at that price?? Fujitsubo? Haven't really looked at them, but if they aren't better priced than Borla... then no good for me.

I've said it and I'll say it again... although I hate to have the same thing as everyone else... Borla is good stuff. Known the name for years from Mustang and Ford muscle car mags. They've always been raved about. The come with a million mile warranty. They are one of the most competitvely priced systems out there. Even RB said that among what they've tested, Borla is one of the best of the competition. So yeah... I'm biased and it's my first choice...

.... until I saw the pics recently posted of that MagnaFlow system... https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...5&pagenumber=1

Acutally... that's a good a reason as any to buy it. Really. If the price is cool with you, then I'd say buy it.

If I was willing to drop import cash on exhaust... I'd be looking at the AutoExe one and their intake. I like their parts...

the problem in france is that nobody has tested yet so i would be one of the first who would put an exhaust.

you're lucky all because you can ask someone from the forum to see his car

Japan8...

It is not a blend thing but Fujitsubo is famous in Japan just making exhaust....

A$1500 is not much when a local maker of a mild steel system (if I dare quote - Promaz) of A$1300. The R&D that the Japanese required to win the "Option" market over there is huge!

How often do you see the mod shop over there, if I dare say over in the US, test the car as much as the HKS people. They are NUTS!

The km they do in the Tsukuba circult is huge - there are media coverage of their testing in the Option and Option 2 magazine.

"Option" and "Tuning" is huge over there - it is big buck business. Not like in Australia - if I DARE SAY - like Hymee it is just a backyard thing. If I see hymee in the real magazine, like the Option equv in Japan then I will convince - the market in Australia is pathetic.

What is it like in the US - do the mod shop do regular testing with their products????????
