The K&N v2 intake is louder than most intakes to start off with. The Racing Beat, in my opinion, is not loud at all. I would know since I have one. Some people like the Borla or Greddy Sp2 with the intake. It's has a deep tone on both ends. If you look at clips on youtube, you'll be able to distinguish the tones a bit better. There are a good amount of clips on the low end, high end, and even WOT.

If you can bear the K&N then any exhaust will work. I have a midpipe and I STILL HEAR THE INTAKE over the exhaust at WOT. Sounds good and shoots flames and the fumes make me high while driving

I think it's best with whip cream. Not the regular one, but the light one.

I prefer thick whip cream. That's how we roll on the east coast.

I have the KN V2 with the HKS Hi-Power exhaust...although it's loud at WOT i do hear the intake over the exhaust..but i do run the stock cat on the exhaust...I love the sound though..few people think it's loud but its a head turner..it's not 2 loud and even my girlfriend does not mind it...she loves the way it sounds..considering ricer's drive up and down her house all day...lol.

I like the sound of the Agency Power catback... without their midpipe installed.
I'm running the AP catback with my stock cat (and the RB intake with the RB ram air duct) and it produces a nice deep tone.
Best thing I can suggest is to get on the regional forum for your area and meet up with others who have aftermaket setups and listen to them in person.
Most of the time, YouTube doesn't do justice.
