dude--- sorry you are not getting an answer to your questions. I remember when I 1st started out.
The forum has so many dang pages of info it is not easy to search.
Now I dont know much about turbocharging, but i do know a little about supercharging this car.
FI is FI but there are a lot of "details"
Heres some starting advice that may be helpful
1- get your engine in good shape. Have your engine coolant temps well under control--probably need to install gauges or get an ob II reader. You may need to add some mods to get your temps right--this is an easy search.
2- new ignition parts---plugs, wires, and coils
3- make sure your fuel pump is good--again easy to search about this.
4- research a lot about what system/components you want to use. Install it
5-get a real good tune!!
6- run a water meth system with it
that is the "basics"---sounds simple.
It kinda is--just a good bit of work and money.
You dont have to have a rebuild, special seals or anything like that.
As long as your engine has good compression --you are ok.
Now like what was said--if you start going over 300 rwhp then more stuff needs to be done.
Hope this helps a little

Low compression = Needs new motor. You dont want that.
In fact, you want 'good compression'. Its advisable to get a compression test to make sure your current engine is ready for the project...
Also,
Make sure you have a solid $4,000-$5,000 set aside that you can spend at any given moment incase you need a rebuild. Not saying that YOU WILL need to use it, but as many would agree, this isnt the type of project you should take on if you're not financially ready incase something goes wrong. Remember, you're going from 180whp to 280whp, there's a chance things can go wrong.
This is the exact reason I havent boosted yet, Ive had enough money for the kit and install on multiple occasions over the past couple years, but didnt have enough set aside for tuning or a new engine if something happened, so Ive held off.
