What to do with my AP catback

Alright guys been stuck on what to do with my ap catback I damaged not too long ago backing into a curb should I sell it or cut it and put new tips do y'all think the tip is salvageable through bending and polishing give me some feedback guys it's just sitting in storage. I was annoyed with how it looked
So I took it off and put my stock catback on but now I miss the sound 😒

man, you did a number on that thing.
Id' be more worried about that exhaust shroud than the exhaust.

is it salvageable? uhhh, maybe... just not sure it's worth the cost / labor as opposed to just getting new tips welded on.

Hey what's up @Jedi The Shrouds weren't too hard to replace however those exhaust finishers Were expensive I was pissed off beyond belief when I backed up into the curb it took me about a week to post on here when it happened because I was so sad But now it's time to move forward I was also thinking about getting new tips as well I just hate to lose that agency power logo i'm also wondering if I go maybe an inch smaller if it'll affect the sound. Correct me if I'm wrong

Well, you could cut the tips off and have new ones welded on but spending money on a used AP is not a smart move. AP exhaust are cheap (see single walled tips that melt shrouds) and raspy even when new so they are not worth putting money into when you can get an equally cheap Ebay cat back system for a couple hundy.

This one is $177.00 shipped.

There you go great advice! however I don't think I'll go and buy a cheap one although according to you I already have but coming from someone who has already tried all the different combinations of midpipes and catbacks I'll take your word For it. Not investing and putting new tips was the answer I was looking for. I'm going to miss this cat back even though you thought it was all cheap I got a lot of compliments for it when it was working well.

I have seen plenty of guys with AP and the tips always melted shrouds and they always looked like **** after a month despite efforts to keep them looking pretty. This is the case with all catbacks that have single walled tips. As for the sound, I never liked it personally, even with the BHR mid pipe it was raspy. But sound quality is subjective.

I think 9k and I have been around these parts long enough to see lots of AP exhausts and they do all end up looking like crap and with a HIGH probability of a melted exhaust shroud.
Look for some good double walled exhaust tips, get a quote for the work from a local welder and then compare that to maybe picking up a used exhaust on here.
