hey guys just got my first 8 here bout a week ago. And ive searched and searched (and first off dont tell that i didnt search i know how forums work ive been a fellow supramania, supraforums, subark, newtiburon, etc member for years and know how to search) for the last good hours on exhaust info and cant find the info on what midpipes will work with the turboxs catback. i know the turboxs racepipe will but i would like to run a mazsport resonated midpipe, or i guess any type of good resonated midpipe with my car. Because i cant stand the raspiness that comes with all the exhaust systems for the 8 without a good resonated midpipe. Compared to how my supra and subies sound i cant have the 8 sounding any less than as crisp, loud, deep, and rumbly as they do too. Most sound better than most v8's But ne way The turboxs racepipe works but is still rapsy. Ive heard the mazsport with the turboxs and it sounds perfect. I would think the ap midpipe would sound prob even better But dont know if id have to weld it onto the cat back system or what. Id hate to have to taint a perfectly catback system by cutting and welding. Especially since i plan to take it off and go bigger piping once i go turbo but i guess if il have to then yeah. But can someone incite me on this. And or maybe on where to get one of these midpipes at a decent price thanks in advance guys

 

People have complained in the past that turboxs only fits turboxs products because of how the holes are drilled. Some get lucky and it somehow fits(or maybe they fixed it in the second revision?) or they re-drill the holes on the midpipe to make it fit the funky turboxs exhaust.

Every thread I find(searching gives many good ones) seems to say turboxs fits only turboxs products, it shouldnt even fit with the stock cat without some modification. One guy said he was using his agency power midpipe with the turboxs exhaust but maybe he had to modify it a bit.
