well, hopefully I'm not wrong on this, but if you tune for nitrous, when you're not using it, your throttle response would be shitty, and with higher shots, I think you'd rather want an aftermarket EMS that you can tell when the nitrous is on and when it is off so that it can run two separate maps and toggle between them
if the stock ECU can do this, I don't see the reason why not, but I don't think it can, if it can, then go for it. don't be in a hurry with nitrous take it in strides
and read CRH's rules thread
ahh u already bought nitrous? grats
55shot first, listen to whatever CRH tells u

Just my two cents 'cause I cant keep my mouth shut.
Refering to the first part of this thread, I dont see tires on your list of mods. Tires should be the second mod, right after the driver mod.
Also, on the list of 'cons' for N2O, it is difficult to track nitrous. Not impossible but difficult. And I mean the real kind of track where you turn you steering wheel and use your brakes.
Just FYI NO2, nitrogen dioxide, is not nitrous. Nitrogen dioxide is a nasty brown gas that at low (400ppm) concentrations can give you a terminal case of chemical pneumonia. Frighteningly enough, it is the component in auto exhaust that gives the orange tinge to the skys over LA.

hmm. Didnt know that. Thanks for the info. My point was that this is not a real con, just a reflection of the need to know where you are going when planning mods. You are not going to use the bottle much out on canyon roads either unless you really know what you are doing. Not a dig on the bottle. Gas is a blast,
