What's with the Hks hi power on the 8's?

Okay so I just recently bought an 8 and I dont know anything really yet because I had an s13 and I'm new to rotary. Okay, so how come all the hks hi powers come with the TI tip? And how come they dont just make them like the regular hi power looks? (where there is a big muffler and tip) I really like the hi power catback but dont know if I'll like the adjustable tip stuff. Why do we make them like this? And is ther ways to buy the regular ones?

its really not that difficult to take it to a muffler shop to have it done your way.

So it wont make it sound different or bad? Like if I just got a HKS hi power muffler with custom catback piping, will it sound the same as any other hks catback full system?

No, because it's a renesis motor and it doesn't sound exactly like a 13b-rew either. Nonetheless, they are both rotaries and they do not sound like piston motors. Anyhow, It may give it a deeper tone but it will still be loud but won't sound bad. I didn't really like the way the tip stuck out. I'd rather have the tip and muffler together.

What do you mean by that last part?
And I guess I just don't understand why they don't have big tipped exhausts? On my 240 I had a 4.5 inch tip with 3 inch piping and it was a catback. It sounded so amazing, I wish I could get one like that on my 8 but there are barely any pics so idk if it would look bad

Why would you need a 4.5" tip. There is no benefit. Like stated earlier take it to a shop.

HKS hi power sounds amazing!!! Just installed it on my car and every time I start the car a big smile appears))) The tip is already 4" so why you want to add 0.5"?

Check the for sale section you may get lucky. Your best bet will be the local for sale section though unless your willing to drive for it.

Trust me, if you do not care about the way single outlet exhausts look this exhaust is among the best in the market. I got mine from Assaultech (look the vendors section). You also might want to look at BHR (they have the best price).
