I would rather want the heat to go out the bottom of the car, then the manifold heat doesnt get to the intake to warm the intake up more.

A friend of mine told me of some other type wool blanket, it is called:
INSOWOOL - HP Blanket, it is a ceramic fiber wool that can handle more than 1400 deg celcius, its about an inch thick

My one friend who studied aerodynamics in engineering told me this.

The way to get a cooler / radiator to work at its best and the best aerodynamics at the same time is to have radiator or the oil cooler sealed of on the sides to create a channel (forcing the air through the radiator for cooling instead of creating swirls arounmd it) that makes a high pressure point just in front of the radiator. Then right behind it the air must be able to escape easy to create the low pressure that actually sucks the air through, then the cooling works much better.
the air must go through the radiator / instead of a bit past it, this create swirling action that disturbs the airflow a lot and pushes up the heat, less cooling.

A way to see the airflow on the car is, (this is a bit messy but it creates a windtunnel effect for cheap) take old oil, its cheaper and darker to see it better.
Now put it on the front of all panel, top to bottom or left to right at the hood.
Put a lot on.
Now go and drive the car as fast as possible for a long time.
When you stop you will see all the wavey streaks made by the oil and then you can also see how the airflow is at and past ducts if its working properly.
This sound stupid, but I used to race the 250cc GP bikes and we did that with mine, getting the flow and sealing perfect at the radiator---it ran very cool.
I will start to work on the oil cooler idea and give feedback some time

I want a vented hood, but noone makes it the way I'd like. If you run the car hard and park it you can feel lots of heat comming up from the left and right side of the engine cover near the shock towers. It would let alot of heat out and it wouldnt matter if water got in because nothing is really in those spots. I'd like to have vents in those spots only. I've seen one hood with those vents but it also has a ton other vents all over and I dont car to much for that.
Would also be nice to have a hood like a camaro and rams air in and down on the motor.
Most the hoods I see have vents over the airbox and engine cover. Unless you remove the cover heat isn't gonna go out that way so much.

Agree, the hood that I would like should have 2 small vents on the sides, nothing too big or rice out, just to get the hot air out of the engine bay

I would also go for this. Basically something that looks factory, very subtle and functional.

I think these would look very nice on both sides of the car.

I would have the hood cut and put these in, but they are in the 7"x17-20" area so the might be way to long. 4"x8" would look really nice.

Heat doesn't worry me as much as braking performance. I really like their cross-drilled brakes lines.
