if you can accomplish a unique sound compared to the other exhaust then you will have quite a market.

Yes, here's the update, the original design was great for turbo app, but in my honest opion... as much as I hate to say it...... it did not give good results for n/a.

So what I'm doing is making a different version.

For n/a it will be a dual exhaust.. it will have the same apperence with the mufflers from the back, but it will be true dual all the way from the egine with a new header design..

I'm just working on the fore and aft 02 sensor locations and the dual pipe cat so that it hopefully still pass smog here in cali.

Also there will be two n/a options, if you want only the cat back you will have to make an adaptor to your mid pipe or buy mine for an extra fee. The adaptor will make it go from single to dual after the cat.

That is also how it will work for Turbo app. The cat back will be dual after the cat or midpipe.

Ben

If it is a true dual exhaust, will we actually see noticeable gains?

I'm confused on why you insist on making it so complex, more people care about the looks and sound then having a true dual, also a lot of us have mazsport midpipes which now will be useless, meaning I would no longer want to purchase it. Just my opinion

Varney Mazda, I'm not making it more complex, the goal is to make something that looks good and something that works. Also I forgot to add you can keep your midpipe, the adaptor will take care of that for you. It will be a y-adaptor. But I am making a true dual... RX8 Fanatic..will it really make good power... only time will tell when its done and on the dyno. I'm not going to sell something if it hurts the feel and power of the car.

Maybe by end of July for the midpipe back, I need to give time for any modifications that may be needed, I need to verify the power and torque on the dyno. Again, the last thing I want to do is release a product that can not even perform as good as stock. A nice sound and great looks is no excuess to sacrifice performance.

Thats like having a trophy wife, she looks great and talks sweet, but she can't do laundry or cook.

update: probably going with carbon fiber mufflers and dual tips on each side so a total of 4 tips.

considering that i have the kenstyle rear, quad tip might work for me. not sure its going to look right on a stock bumper though...the tips are going to have to be puny.

I dont think the tips will have to be too small, I just need to make sure the tips are welded the same way as the stock tips to allow proper cooling so the shrouds dont melt.

Gotta play around with different styles of tips to see what works best.
