Who installs a linelock on the RX8... Kinda odd.
But... I think i will. My friend has a line lock laying around his place and we figured why not, it could be usefull for using up my old tires for a little smoke show. Now, i know how a linelock is installed and have installed a couple before actually. My previous installs were on Fox body mustangs which are ,as i am sure you all know, are a little behind the times when it comes to brakes and the brake system. My problem is that the "power brake unit" on the RX-8 is throwing me off. The two lines that come out of the master cylinder go to the power brake unit. Are one of these front and one of these for the rear? if so would it be safe to install the linelock in the line here before the power brake unit? i am not sure cuz of the electronics involved with the 8 and i do not want to cause some kind of brake failure or electrnonics problem with the power brake unit. Well inlighten me with yoru vast knowledge fellas....

haha... i like your thinkin ... but if it turns out to be a major undertaking for some reason then i doubt i will do it . it was just one of those .. well we have the part layin around here so why not kinda things. Any other ideas or input?

I've all ready thought about line locks
Rear right brake is connected to front left brake. As Rear left brake is connected to front right brake.
From what I understand on older cars you could do a line lock because the front brakes we separated in the reservoir from the rear brakes. Hence, lock the front, and leave the back ones.
But now we also have Anti-lock braking system on top of the all ready mixed up braking system. So from what I understand, you would not only need to separate the brake lines but somehow have the 8 computer not freak out
Am I getting this?

hmm... my friend had a last year trans am that had ABS and a line lock... its been many years since we did that install but i don't remember any big problems with the ABS system
you could probably search around some f-body or mustang forums for dealing with the newer break systems
