Will there ever be a performance chip for the 8's?

Will there ever be a performance chip for the 8's?
The only thing that disappoints me about the 8 is the lack of power. Coming from a heavily customized Lightning it is really something I thought wouldn't bother me, but I am missiing it more and more when the time comes for fast, powerful passing on the e-way and to jump in front of someone easily at a light so I can get into the turning lane. So many cars gain 30-40 HP with just a chip, I feel that could be a huge difference in a car as light as this, especially for those of us with the manual. Before I added blower pulleys and intakes & so on to my Lightning, the very first thing I did was put on a Diablochip perfromance chip...the difference was night & day. Does anyone know of anyone gearing up for something like this for our 8's?

keep your revs above 5k, it's a high revving car so it needs revs to build power. Just keep it in the powerband and I guarantee you won't have problems passing anyone on the freeway. The rx8 is no torque beast, seems like you didn't do much research before trading your truck. The two are complete opposites. Canzoomer helps, but you won't notice a HUGE 40 hp difference. With all due respect learn how to drive the 8, then you will appreciate it how it delivers it's power.

OK, I'm game for a little snake oil.
So on the face of it, this is a failrly good value for 484 euros. I just can't imagine that it works as stated. Do they have dyno sheets or just say this is what you get? Didn't see any on the site (which was absurdly slow to load). They must be pretty good, single-handedly improving the performance of a wide range of cars on the road from their little facilities.
Anyone ever bought one? I didn't think there was "a chip" (eprom) that was so easily replaceable in the 8. On the positive side, it is a Swiss company. Wonders never cease or is it a fool is born every minute?

Why on earth would you want a preprogrammed chip?
Buy the e-manage, buy the ignition harness, and tune the fuel and ignition timing to your specific car - don't sink to the lowest common denominator and get a one-size-fits-all chip.

I think i would perfer the canzoomer for this car because of its tune ability. The chip in my truck only has 4 settings, but I like the idea of infinit settings, meaning the ability to save as many different maps on the computer for different situations.

B) E-manage is a universal piggyback fuel computer to adjust the air/fuel ratio and the ignition timing/injector cycle with the proper harness, they even have a MAF to MAP conversion in case you're pushing more air than the MAF can handle. It is for any application, not just forced induction, but if you're running boost and you don't use one to tune you're just asking for trouble - the stock computer wasn't designed to handle boost.
This is an infinately variable unit to handle anything you've done to your car, no one-size-fits-all. Definately a must if you're serious into tuning.
