prob meant tune up
but id say drive it stock for a while, get a feel for the car...9 times out of 10 you can sense when something is about to go wrong...i cant say with rotaries tho. but i doubt anyones car just up and blows up on a given day...im hoping some signs will be shown like declined performance, smells, noises.... if your car is in good shape and u have no problems right now you may be able to venture out into modding...but if u have problems or have any belief something may go wrong you may want to hold back on the moding.
i started moding only after 4 months of having an rx8 used with 64k miles, but i was confident in the car. it was immacualate and has had all service done at the dealership on time...i drove it, checked it out, and decided to mod (NA mods tho)...now if i went with the 1st rx8 i was gonna buy which had 30k miles...i might have decided not to cause it wasnt in the same shape as my current car.

Yep, my warranty was DOA when I got the turbo. You can do minor stuff like intake, exhaust, etc & they won't do too much, but the momnet you get stuff like FI, nitrous, etc they will brand your warranty and it is goodby to that.
