Zex nitrous: I finally sprayed but...

Ok, I finally sprayed today...twice, 55 shot, but I didn't feel anything or heard the engine screaming at all. After I let off the pedal, my exhaust popped like 2-3 times. My bottle pressure was at like 800 no matter how warm it was. So do you think my bottle is almost empty or what could have been wrong?

Instructions? Isn't it plug and play. You know, plug it in, spray and take off in 1st gear below 4k rpms.

800 is okay, you should have felt something but ideally 900+ is the spot. Definitely read the instructions.

Oh yeah, I read the instructions and I did program the module properly. I checked and tested everything before I took the car out for some runs. I heard the module click when I stepped on the gas while testing. Well, I was in 4th gear at about 5k rpm when I sprayed but nothing. After that, I went home and double checked on everything again. I even unhooked the nitrous line going to the nozzle, stepped on the gas, heard the module click, nitrous shoot out. The fuel is definitely there too. I could smell it when I unhooked the fuel line at the nozzle. So everything was and is working perfectly. Oh forgot to mention, I have the BHR spacer too. I know I should have felt something, but I didn't. I have no idea why.

Hard to say what's going on. You say you have N2o and fuel at the nozzle. So you should feel something. Try it in second gear above 4500 rpm.

Sorry, I totally missed the fact that you waited till 5k in 4th gear to spray. No, you're not going to notice the nitrous as much in that RPM range in 4th gear.

Start spraying at 5k in 2nd gear and you'll notice some pickup.

How did you test it? Were you already WOT when you turned it on or did you turn it on then step on it?

I would expect it to be noticeable in 4th gear if you were already pedal to the floor before you flipped the switch. I can notice mine if I flip it on and off while full throttle, though it's harder to notice if I already have it on before I step on it.

No, actually I only keep the spacer, gauge, and bottle heater. I sold the rest of your kit to a friend. I had a killer deal on a brand new kit that I couldn't pass up. I purchased the valve opener and purge kit separately.

I had it on before I step on it. So you're saying I should step on it first then hit it.

Yeah, I'd give that a try. Then you can actually see the difference as it activates. While it is a good bump in power, I can see it being hard to notice if you don't have an immediate comparison. There used to be a stickied thread on nitrous and in order to first test the system, it was recommended that @ 5k rpm you go WOT and then flip the switch. At that point you take note of any sounds and feel if the system is working or not.

You should be able to notice it in fourth.

Ok try this ...
Turn off the arming switch to the nitrous.

In 4th or 3rd .... mash the go peddle (WOT) at 5k rpm arm (turn switch on) the nitrous system. You should feel the kick.
This is also the same way you will handle the nitrous on the dyno.

Now repeat in 1st .... mouhahahahahahahahahahah

Go home install 99.99 shot and enjoy

Oh ...
I also find 950psi to be the sweet spot.

You should be able to tell how much is in your tank by weighing it.
The tank weight empty and full should be on the label somewhere
