^^^ my friend tried turning is golf from Silver to White, It costs alots of money and time. It took him like 8 cans to do a fender and door, and it needed more coats. Will cost alot to do a whole car.

He later scrapped the idea, and peeled it off.

I used to drive a really shitty black 01' Protege before I got my 8. The clear coat on the hood started delaminating so my friend and I Plastidip'd the hood and trunk. It didn't look good covering the whole surface but it looked better than the grey and white splotches all over it. It held up remarkably well even when I wrecked it. We also used it to black out the chrome trim on my friend's Pontiac G8.

So when you peel it off it only sticks to the badge or do you have to trim it with something?

It'll only stick to the badge. Easy peasy!

Did mine today. Since it's cold I used a hair dryer to heat up the surface a little before spraying, then immediately after each coat hit it with the hair dryer for a couple of seconds and then let it self dry for 2 minutes between coats. You can watch it go from liquid to rubber when the heat hits it. Have patients because getting all the stuff from inside the letters is a little time consuming.

I did mine. See if you guys like.

ONE IMPORTANT NOTE:

Do not spray this from all angles. Just try to get it head on. IF you connect the portions on the paint and the emblem you end up taking some off of ur emblem when u try to separate it. If you just spray head on, and don't let it pool near the bottom of your emblem it should come off really easily and separate no problems.

Also, use a plastic pic, any type of metal u will end up scratching some of your paint because it takes a little vigor to get the smaller sections dislodged.

You'd be better off getting some badges for your side column (Mazda Speed makes a nice one). Check the top of this pic... I like the eyelids thou.

same here, I did a test run on just my front emblem last night and it turned out really good. I'll do the others on the back tonight hopefully.

The can says that there is also a clear type of the same stuff, has anyone tried that out as a clear coat for a more glossy look? It's only 6$ I think if I can find a can I might try it just to see what it looks like

Soooo I dipped my lower lip....I was too impatient in taking the newspaper off so I ripped some of it. I need to redo it this weekend. I think it looks alright.

While I was taking these pics after my polefit class, I realized there was a dude sitting in the elantra next to me. LMAO he prob thought I was crazy or something.
