DIY- Brake Cooling Ducts

I know spin9k has one of these done, but I did one that’s a little cheaper and you don't have to mess with front grill or mesh up there:

Materials(all Purchased from Home Depot)

Sharp Utility Knife
4" Gutter Accordion Plastic Hose Stuff (picture)
4"x3.25"x2.5" Down Spout Adapter ADS (picture)
Hot Glue + Gun
Diamond Mesh 16x16
Screwdriver for removing plastic pieces off car

Step 1

Jack front of car up, remove the front piece in the wheel well (3 screws at the bottom of the car and a variety of plastic popper tabs) X2

Step 2
Cut a hole approximately here smaller then the gutter hose for a snug fit (picture)
Cut another hole approximately this shape at the bottom of the plastic piece right in front of the rubber wind deflector for the front wheels (picture)

Step 3

Slide a Small section of the accordion hose (approximately 20 rungs long) from the front of the wheel well plastic piece and slide 3 rungs back, this should take some effort since you want a snug fit.

Step 4

Get you’re down spout ready, insert from the top down, and finagle it so that it’s almost parallel to the bottom of the car.

Step 5

Now measure how much slack of the 20 rungs that you have inserted you have to cut off, DON'T cut off TOO MUCH, you want this to be a self supporting architecture, but not to the point where you deforming the shape of the wheel well plastic.

Once all its together go head and cut off the excess on the wheel side where you poped though 3 extra rungs, cut it down 1 rung to make fitment look stock.

Step 6

You should have a pretty snug fit but seal the whole unit with hot glue just to be sure, and cut a tiny slit at the juncture where the wheel well platic has to go over the spout that way you take some stress off it and you'll be able to put all the plastic tabs back into their holes.

Step 7

Install some diamond mesh into the tube to stop large rocks from hitting your rotors.

Install the wheel well plastic back into its proper place, the plastic tabs will take some effort to get back into there holes.

Finished result will look like this:
