Anyone think of converting this into a storage unit for say an IPOD or cell phone.

I think I am going to try to put a hinge on and make the space useful.

I will update.

Hey did anybody try the switch bank above the coin compartment?

Looks like there might be room for 2 switches that could match the factory others.

Any feed back?

Having wiring problems. Theres three units in the rocker, Ground Load and Power. For some reason I can't get any sign of power in the rocker, the light will not light up. confused on why this is going on. if you can explain which wire you have going to which unit it would be helpful, thanks. I know one goes to positive and one to negative on the battery but it won't work for me. Help please. anyone.

Yes, you have to have the key in the on position before it will start. I just put it there because it was fun to let the passenger start my car :

---------------------------------------------
Positive, negative, whatever you are powering.

You may have something switched around. Use an ohm meter to see if you are getting power or not.

I am also curious if anyone knows if the space is empty with the 6 disc changer?

Cool Load.....

Ground/Load/Power - the Power should come from one of the footwell fuses (always always always use fused power). The Load is what you are turning on - neons, radar, etc, and the Ground must make contact with a metal part of the body (there's lots of good grounds under the dash.) which is probably your problem.....

I think I'm gonna do this too. Three rocker switches that look as OEM as possible.
So far I know one will control interoir LED accent lighting, another for nitrous microswitch WOT activation, and another for remote nitrous bottle valve opening. If I need anymore I'll go into the coin box.

the switches have leds built in, they are powered with the same ground/power as the application the switch is for.. when the circuit is closed, it not only powers the application, but powers the leds... poof they light up

crazy idea here, think you could put potientiometers instead of buttons, and use it to control say like bass levels on an amp in the trunk or something? Or would that not work?

Should be doable, as long as they are not to big and will fit.
