Howdy folks, I have been hard at work this summer attempting to wire in manual controls from the "guides" on this forum, and videos on youtube. For a second, it looked like I had done things exactly as I had envisioned, only to recently discover that it only works as I had wanted when the car is off, key out of the ignition. I have seen people claiming that the fans in their manual controls turn off automatically after 5 minutes, mine never have, they stay on so long as that ground is switched on. Here are the links I have used to get this far, my wiring was pretty basic, 10 gauge wiring goes to each of the cooling fan relays (1, 2 and 3), cooling fan relay 1 is on its own switch while relays 2 and 3 go to a second switch. the wires go to two switches through the firewall under the wiring harness, and into the center console to the switches which are held in via adhesive in the ash tray (former owner had a sirius xm radio there i never used so i just threw that out and replaced it). the switches also use 10 gauge wire to go to two separate ground connections, back into the engine bay.

I am confused why my fans aren't turning on with the key in. So far as is, when the car is running, all the switches seem to do is turn off the relay if it is already turned on. I tried even testing the other grounds to see if that was it earlier today but that lead nowhere.
