DIY: HID Fog Lights
#27
I went ahead with the RPM kit and I'm pretty happy so far. They work, (unlike the last HID kit I got,) and I was surprised how small the slimline ballasts are compared to the standard ballasts.
The harness was also a little more complete, there was a section with a rubber grommet on it for going through a hole and retaining weatherproofing. Overall just a much more solid looking setup.
The light output of the 3000k's isn't quite as yellow as the 3000k's I got from Ebay, (probably closer to real 3000k.) Also, no radio interference that I can hear whatsoever.
Compared to my ebay experience, these were definitely worth the extra $35 or so.

I did i the HID kit install less then 30 min a while ago.... bought a kit of ebay for 60 bucks, bent the relfectors till they broke off, pulled it out. and screwed ballast to the side of tire well and was done. they were 10,000k. all i used was a screw driver. and needle nose pliers

Anyone know if it's possible to relatively easily adjust the fogs up? They don't appear to be adjustable, and mine put almost no light up to horizontal (they shoot straight into the ground.) At least with HID's they have enough light to do something.
