For now i have ran the USB plug between my gauge pod and dash. This is until i have finally found the right spot to mount the Flush mount plug.
Other picture shows the Dongel mounted under dash qith OBDII plug.

LMAO... when you said "surface mount" I was thinking a surface mount component, like when you solder a component to a circuit board.
Sorry, I build circuit boards so sometimes I look into the terminology too much
I like what you've done with it so far.
Very clean look even with it just running above your pods.

Lol, sorry. If you really wanted to, instead of ordering a female to female USB adaptor, you can cut the male side off and solder the wires to make it a USB mini with cord to a Female USB plug. It all works the same.

Just color match and use some heat shrink.
Just for easier use and not to solder anything the adaptor plugs would be easiest.
