I just changed out my coils, wires, and plugs yesterday and it was a knuckle beating job but, can be done with patience. I had more problems taking off the RB intake than the coils themselves but those tiny screws are easy to drop and get caught by the bottom pan that I had to unbolt to find the little thing. Thanks for the DIY.

On my car it was not that. From the front of the car going to the back, the first coil was L1, second was T1, third was L2 and last was T2. (hope i remembered that right) pretty sure that is what it was. I only had one coil to have a white spot on it and the other 3 didnt. My car was running fairly well at the time and just had all the fluids changed in it Monday for the second time since I bought the car new. Every 30k miles, I have everything changed. so far running like a champ.

First: Seems that to post here, I must have a picture of a girls *** as an avatar. I'll get to work on that...
But, must I get OEM Ignition Coils from a Mazda parts shop? Or can I call Advanced Auto Parts and get the coils they have in stock?

Are these coils from O'Rielly sufficient?...or should I just go to my dealer...or doesn't it matter? Autozone's website charges 88.99 EACH and yes...I called to confirm. Why the hell are theirs almost 3x more?
UPDATE: I called the 2 dealers nearest to where I work today and one wanted 87.99 EACH and the other wanted 54.99 EACH. WTF!?
